A generalized framework to consider positive and negative attributes in formal concept analysis

    Get PDF
In Formal Concept Analysis the classical formal context is analized taking into account only the positive information, i.e. the presence of a property in an object. Nevertheless, the no presence of a property in an object also provides a signi cant knowledge which can only be partially considered with the classical approach. In this work we have modi ed the concept forming operators to allow the treatment of both, positive and negative attributes which come from respectively, the presence and absence of the properties. In this work we de ne the new operators and we prove that they are Galois connections. Finally, we have also studied the correspondence between the formal context in the new framework and the extended concept lattice, providing new interesting properties.Universidad de Málaga. The growing needs for fruit and vegetable production, together with the current climate change situation, make agriculture under plastic and greenhouse cooling indispensable. The most commonly used approaches are natural ventilation, shading and fan-pad systems. To foster a climate that allows forplant production under cover in extreme conditions, a novel fan-pad system has been devised that incorporates a pre-chamber and an air distribution system using air ducts running alongside the crop rows. The system has been tested in a greenhouse in Almeria (Spain) during the daytime in August, when the weather was hotter. Tests were also carried out in combination with natural ventilation and shading. The results indicate that the fan-pad system was efficient under extreme weather conditions and that it avoided creating horizontal thermal gradients. By determining the theoretical value of the air temperature leaving the pad, we were able to estimate the evaporative cooling potential of the fan-pad system as a function of the outdoor climate. Under extreme conditions, the fan-pad system’s efficiency decreased along with increased air temperature and, above all, the increased relative humidity of the outside air. When the outdoor climate is warm and humid, natural ventilation may be the most efficient temperature control method. If the outdoor climate is warm and dry, the evaporative pad is more effective, especially when combined with shading

As a result of the outbreak of the SARS-CoV2 virus, teachers faced the closure of schools having the need to seek distance learning strategies and continue their work compromising their physical and mental health, due to the increased administrative burden, work domestic and confinement, causing negative and disturbing emotional responses. It is essential to analyze the factors that are associated with emotional responses that affect the teacher’s lifestyle. The objective was to present the psychometric properties of the measurement of negative emotions for a focused population of teachers; teachers were grouped in terms of risk factors and associated with virtual education and reactivation. The sample included public institutions of preschool and primary level of the State of Sonora, where 383 teachers participated in front of the group. An Inventory of Negative and Disruptive Emotional Responses in Pandemic Contexts (IREN) was made, consisting of four factors, with a global Cronbach’s alpha of .96 and seven questions were added on psychosocial risk factors, distance education and reactivation educational problems. Sex is a key factor; women are the most affected as well as teachers who have been working for the same institution for fewer years. On the other hand, it is highlighted that the greatest fear teachers face is not that of becoming infected but of losing a loved one, In addition, socialization is affected if they present any symptoms of physical exhaustion with negative emotions more frequently.

Cecina used traditional technique for salting and preserving meat as well as to impart flavor; however, addition of spices is a viable alternative to diversify the flavors of the product. The objective of this research was to develop beef and pork cecina of flavors and evaluate lipid oxidation after 30 days of storage. Beef and pork cecina were distributed independently in four treatments: Formulation 1 or base (10.7% salt, 1.3% sugar, 0.5% nitrite and seasoning 0.1%); formulation 2, base plus 10 g of mixture of coriander, celery, parsley dehydrated/kg meat; formulation 3, base plus 10 g dry mirasol chilli/kg of meat and liquid smoke (2 mL/L) and formulation 4, base plus 0.80 mL of essential oregano oil/L. Beef cecina was dried at 80 °C for 150 minutes and pork cecina for 180 minutes until these achieved a water activity (aw) of 0.75. Beef cecina was packaged in cellophane bag, while for pork cecina in vacuum bags. Lipid oxidation was determined using thiobarbituric acid test (TBA). The results revealed that only beef cecina presented fat rancidity

This study aimed to create an individualized analysis model of the risk of intensive care unit (ICU) admission or death for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients as a tool for the rapid clinical management of hospitalized patients in order to achieve a resilience of medical resources. This is an observational, analytical, retrospective cohort study with longitudinal follow-up. Data were collected from the medical records of 3489 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 using RT-qPCR in the period of highest community transmission recorded in Europe to date: February-June 2020. The study was carried out in in two health areas of hospital care in the Madrid region: the central area of the Madrid capital (Hospitales de Madrid del Grupo HM Hospitales (CH-HM), n = 1931) and the metropolitan area of Madrid (Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias (MH-HUPA) n = 1558). By using a regression model, we observed how the different patient variables had unequal importance. Among all the analyzed variables, basal oxygen saturation was found to have the highest relative importance with a value of 20.3%, followed by age (17.7%), lymphocyte/leukocyte ratio (14.4%), CRP value (12.5%), comorbidities (12.5%), and leukocyte count (8.9%). Three levels of risk of ICU/death were established: low-risk level (20%). At the high-risk level, 13% needed ICU admission, 29% died, and 37% had an ICU-death outcome. This predictive model allowed us to individualize the risk for worse outcome for hospitalized patients affected by COVID-19

In this Study the behavior of energy consumption for two different air conditioning technologies into the Electrical Machines Laboratory at Universidad de la Costa CUC was compared. During this investigation the building was assesed, and the equipments with significant energy consumption were identified, realizing the climate system being the highest one. Considering the above, a comparison of energy consumption was made between mini-split technology with a system of variable refrigerant volume (VRF), using the same internal and external conditions associated to the study of educational buildings. This comparison was carried out by measuring active electric power and energ

The toxin content in various life cycle stages of tank-cultivated bullseye puffer (Sphoeroides annulatus) were analyzed by mouse bioassay and ESI-MS spectrometry analysis. The presence of toxin content was determined in extracts of sperm, eggs, embryo, larvae, post-larvae, juvenile, pre-adult, and adult fish, as well as in food items used during the cultivation of the species. Our findings show that only the muscle of juveniles, the viscera of pre-adults, and muscle, liver, and gonad of adult specimens were slightly toxic (<1 mouse unit). Thus, cultivated S. annulatus, as occurs with other cultivated puffer fish species, does not represent a food safety risk to consumers. This is the first report of toxin analysis covering the complete life stages of a puffer fish under controlled conditions
